Inexpensive DIY Spring Home Décor

Brighten up you home with DIY Spring home décor. Spring is such a wonderful season with life coming back to the world and the daylight slowly getting longer. Fill your house with Spring beauty with some simple, and inexpensive, projects. Get rid of the winter blues by adding some Easter decorations that will brighten up your home and keep you smiling.

Here are some project ideas for DIY spring home décor that I love!

Five Minute Dollar Store Spring Forsythia Wreath

Bright and cheery, this wonderful forsythia wreath is perfect for a spring door. The festive décor will welcome all of your guests and leave them with a feeling of spring. Not only is it quick to make and inexpensive, it is so cheery, you’ll want to leave it up all year. See the 5 minute tutorial at The Happy Housie.

DIY Colorful Candle Eggs

Display these beautiful little eggs anyway you want! Did I mention they are candles? They look wicked cute grouped together in a bird’s nest. Or, use an egg carton as a candle holder in the center of your table. You can even use egg cups as candle holders. Find the tutorial at Hello Glow.

DIY Dyed Robin Eggs

Edible and beautiful! These are the perfect décor to display on a brunch or Easter table! The eggs are dyed with red cabbage and splattered with food safe paint, so they are completely safe to eat… if you can convince people they are edible. Plus, if you have never used natural dye, you will be addicted once you see how this works! Check out the tutorial from Honestly Yum.

DIY Topiary Trees

These cute little trees are great for year round décor, not just spring! But they are so festive when you use them in your spring decorating especially when mixed with some dyed eggs. Plus, you get to craft and save money because all of the materials are from your local dollar store! See the tutorial at AKA Designs.

DIY Colorful Geometric Doormat

Design your own spring doormat. Use bright colors and whatever design you want, to tell everyone- spring has sprung! You can even pick the kind of doormat you prefer then display it inside or out. See the tutorial for this geometric doormat from Curbly.

DIY Pom-Pom Tree Branches

So simple, and easy to make, it doesn’t even need an explanation (plus the branches are free!). It is just she cheery and bright it needed to be on this list. Display this simple craft anyway you want, as long as it makes you feel happy! See the short (and sweet) tutorial from The Gingerbread House.

Bunny Wall Hanging

Make this cute and easy bunny wall hanging to add some spring décor to any room. With a simple bunny stencil, and a few other supplies you can recycle or find at the thrift shop, you can customize this cute Easter craft for your needs. You can even reuse a table top picture frame and display it on your Easter table. Check out the tutorial from View From the Fridge at Oh My! Creative.

Easter Egg Garland

This project it almost free! Next time you are at the hardware store grab some paint color chips in all kinds of bright spring colors. When you get home, cut them into egg (or bunny) shapes and string on waxed cotton and you’ve got a DIY garland. Use this cute piece of décor on a table, or mantle, to give it a festive Easter or spring detail. Check out the simple tutorial from Modern Parents Messy Kids.
